Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and raised in the Bay Area, Stone Churby now calls Oceanside, California home. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Sacramento State and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of Oregon, where he pitched for both universities’ baseball teams. A reliable arm out of the bullpen, he was twice named to the NCBWA Stopper of the Year watch list, recognizing him among the top relief pitchers in Division I baseball in 2021 and 2022.
As an Associate Wealth Manager at Presidio Capital Management, Stone focuses on financial planning, investment research, estate planning preparation, and tax planning strategies. Prior to joining Presidio, he spent three years at a boutique wealth management firm in Del Mar, where he became deeply versed in serving ultra-high-net-worth clients, estate planning, and individual equity research. Stone takes particular pride in uncovering “diamond in the rough” investment opportunities for the clients he serves.
Stone joined Presidio Capital Management in June 2026. What drives him professionally is simple: creating peace of mind for clients through top-notch financial service, and striving every day to be the best fiduciary he can be. That commitment is guided by a personal philosophy he carries into everything he does—work hard, and be kind to others.
Outside the office, Stone can be found racing the 250cc class with AMA District 38, reading on the beach, or listening to Soundgarden. He also collects baseball cards and spends his downtime with friends and his black cat, Earl.
