Matt joined Presidio in May 2018 after a successful internship with the firm. A California native, he has spent most of his life in San Diego and attended San Diego State University, where he earned a degree in Finance. During college, Matt was an active member of the Finance and Investment Society, which helped spark his passion for the financial services industry and ultimately led him to a career in Wealth Management.
Gregarious by nature, Matt is passionate about helping clients invest wisely and prepare for retirement with confidence. He works closely with individuals and families on retirement planning, investment management, tax-efficient strategies, and estate planning. Matt believes every client’s situation is unique and takes pride in building long-term relationships rooted in trust, communication, and personalized guidance. He finds the greatest fulfillment in helping clients realize that years of disciplined planning have positioned them to retire both financially and emotionally prepared.
The two biggest influences in Matt’s life are his father and his high school wrestling coach. His father instilled in him the belief that hard work and determination can make anything possible, while his wrestling coach taught him how to manage adversity, appreciate success, and learn from failure. Those lessons continue to shape both his personal life and professional approach today.
Outside of the office, Matt enjoys spending time with his wife, Alyssa, and their daughter, Violet. The Vallebo family welcomed Violet in November 2024 and are excited to be expecting another child in June 2026. Matt is also actively involved in the community through the Mira Mesa Wrestling Club and enjoys supporting youth wrestling, discovering new restaurants, and cheering on his beloved Chargers.
