Matthew Vallebo, CFP®, AIF®

Matthew joined Presidio in May 2018, after a successful internship with the company. Matt is a California native and has lived in San Diego for most of his life. He attended San Diego State University, where he graduated with a degree in Finance. During college, he was a member of the Finance and Investment Society which is where he credits his passion for the industry. It is no wonder that of all the career paths available to Finance majors Matt made his way into Wealth Management.

Gregarious by nature, Matt has a true passion for helping people invest and reach their retirement goals. He lives for the moments when clients can see that their years of saving and investing has allowed them to retire financially and emotionally prepared. Matt approaches every challenge with a positive outlook and a cheerful attitude.  He gives full attention to each one of his clients. The bigger the challenge, the more exhilarating it is for Matt. 

The two main influences in his life are his father and his high school wrestling coach. His father raised him to believe that he could achieve anything he set his mind to. Matt’s wrestling coach taught him how to manage adversity, enjoy success and learn from failure.

When Matt is not in the office, he likes to spend time with his friends and his fiancé, looking for off-the-radar restaurants, or going to see movies.  A perfect weekend for Matt includes dining at a new restaurant, watching a popcorn action movie, going to brunch, and watching his beloved Chargers take the field on Sunday.
